CHECK OF THE
THERMAL SWITCH
OPERATION
A) Start the engine and wait till the
water temperature reaches
60° ± 3°C, then switch the engine
off.
B) Disconnect the starter connector
and, keeping the key on "OFF",
connect the tester (DC 20V) to
the connector (F. 36):
- Tester terminal (+): brown cable
terminal
- Tester terminal (-): black cable
terminal
- Voltage must be 12 Volts as long
as the temperature of the cooling
circuit is not under 60° ± 3°C.
- According to the specification:
the thermal switch operates
- Out of specification: continue
searching
C) Disconnect both terminals from
the thermal switch and create a
bridge with a cable between the
blue/red cable terminal and the
brown cable terminal (F. 37)
- Change-over switch key on "OFF"
(engine is switched off)
- Voltage 12 Volts: replace the
thermal switch
- No voltage: check the continuity

cable between the thermal
switch terminal and the battery
terminal and the continuity of the
brown cable between the thermal
switch terminal, the electronic
box and the electric starter.
Locate the break and repair (see
electric diagram).
CONTROLE DU FONCTION-
NEMENT DE L'INTERRUP-
TEUR THERMIQUE
A) Démarrer le moteur et attendre
que la température de l'eau attei-
gne 60° ± 3° C, puis éteindre le
moteur.
B) Débrancher le connecteur du dé-
marreur et, en laissant la clef sur
"OFF", brancher le testeur
(DC 20V) au connecteur (F. 36) :
- Borne (+) testeur : cosse câble
marron
- Borne (-) testeur : cosse câble
noir
- la tension doit être de 12 volt,
jusqu'à ce que la température du
circuit de refroidissement soit
descendue au-dessous de
60° ± 3° C.
- Conforme aux indications :
l'interrupteur thermique marche
- Non conforme aux indications :
poursuivre la recherche.
C) Débrancher les deux cosses de
l'interrupteur thermique et créer un
pont avec un fil entre la cosse du
câble bleu/rouge et la cosse du
câble marron (F. 37) :
- Clef commutateur sur "OFF"
(moteur à l'arrêt)
- Tension 12 volt : changer
l'interrupteur thermique
- Pas de tension : Vérifier la

continuité (testeur
rouge/bleu entre la cosse de
l'interrupteur thermique et la borne
de la batterie, et la continuité du
câble marron entre la cosse de
l'interrupteur thermique, unité
centrale électronique et démarreur
électrique. Trouver l'interruption et
réparer (voir schéma électrique).

CONTROL FUNCIONAMEN-

TERMICO
A) Arrancar el motor y esperar a que
la temperatura del agua alcance
los 60° ± 3° C, luego apagar el
motor.
B) Desconectar el conector del estár-
ter y, manteniendo la llave en
"OFF", conectar el tester (DC
20V) al conector (F. 36):
- Terminal (+) tester: terminal
cable marrón
- Terminal (-) tester: terminal cable
negro
- la tensión debe ser de 12 volt, hasta
cuando la temperatura del circuito
de enfriamiento no haya descendido
por debajo de los 60° ± 3° C.
- Dentro
especificados: el interruptor
térmico funciona
- Fuera de los valores especificados:
continuar la búsqueda.
C) Desconectar los dos terminales
del interruptor térmico y hacer un
puente con un cable entre el ter-
minal del cable azul/rojo y el ter-
minal del cable marrón (F. 37):
- llave conmutador en "OFF"
(motor apagado)
- Tensión 12 volt: sustituir el
interruptor térmico
- No hay tensión: controlar la
