5.1

The MAILLEFER 6:1 contra-angle handpiece

compying with ISO 7785 - 2

The MAILLEFER 6:1 contra-angle handpieces complies
with the latest regulations reflecting the current state of the
art.
According to these regulations, contra-angle handpieces
may only be used for the described application by trained
personnel, in compliance with the applicable hygiene stan-
dards, occupational safety regulations and accident preven-
tion measures as well as the present operating instructions.
Furthermore, the user is obliged to use only faultless mate-
rials, to pay attention to the correct application as well as to

protect himself or herself, the patient and other persons
against hazards.
The MAILLEFER 6:1 contra-angle handpiece is part of the
technical equipment of the dental practice.
The contra-angle handpiece serves for transmitting the driv-
ing power and speed of the electric motor or air motor (hand-
piece coupling according to ISO 3964) to the preparation
tool.
The required operating speed is attained by performing the
presettings at the dental treatment center.
A motor working speed of up to 40,000 rpm and a gear ratio
of 6:1 yields a maximum speed of 6,700 rpm on the file.
