Cabling the System and Peripherals
Connect the system and peripheral cables in this order:
1. Connect the system power cord.
2. Connect the keyboard and mouse.
3. Connect the monitor power cord.
4. Connect the monitor cable to the graphics card connector.
Note – If you are using a Sun PGX32™ graphics card and you have a Sun 21-inch
monitor, an adapter cable is required. The 15HDM/13W3F video adapter cable, part
number 530-2917, is required between the connector on the monitor cable and the
PGX32 graphics card connector at the system back panel. This cable is shipped with
your system in the ship kit box, where this guide was packed.
5. Connect the Ethernet cable.
6. Connect any additional devices to the audio, serial, SCSI, or parallel connectors.

Powering On the System

1. Turn on power to the monitor and to all peripherals.
2. Press the front panel power switch or press the Sun Type-6 keyboard Power key.
3. Verify that the power indicator LED on the power switch is lit and listen to verify
that the system fans are spinning.
