f Check that the threaded rods are straight and undam-
aged.
f Place the device on the base plate (4) and route the
supply line, the data line (if applicable) and the founda-
tion earth electrode from below through the opening in
the device.
f Attach the device to the threaded rods (3) with the
washers (2) and nuts (1).
f Tighten the nuts. Tightening torque: 90 Nm
5.4 Electrical connection
5.4.1 Power supply
The device can be connected in a TN /TT network. The
device can only be connected in an IT network under the
following conditions:
Connection to a 230 / 400 V IT network is not permit-
ted.
Connection to an IT network with 230 V external line
voltage over a residual current circuit breaker is per-
missible, provided that the maximum contact voltage
does not exceed 50 V AC when the first error occurs.

operation)
f Strip the supply line.
f Strip conductors 12 to 18 mm.
f Connect the supply cable to the terminals as per the
terminal labelling.
Several devices can be connected in series (loop
through supply cable).
f Comply with the connection data of the terminals.
Î "4 Technical data"
