4.6 Ion Measurement
The principle of ion measurement is: take various ion selection electrodes as indicate electrode,
supplement with suitable reference electrode and insert all electrodes into measured solution to
structure electrochemistry system for measuring.
4.6.1 pH Measurement
It is the most normal ion measuring mode. We particularly pick up pH measuring mode for easy
use and add automatic distinguishing pH STD buffer function in calibrating electrode.
In start mode, if there is 'pH measuring parameter' mode, then press 'MEAS' directly to start
measurement. Otherwise press 'SETUP' button, select 'Setup Measuring Mode' and then select
'pH STD Data (please refer to chapter 'Set Measuring Mode' for details).
When meter enters into pH measuring mode, it is displayed as following chart. On top of the
screen is current measuring mode, system time. In the middle is pH STD data, relevant potential
and current temperature. On right side of the screen are press keys including 'View', 'STD',
'SORE', 'PRINT' and 'SETUP' keys. Timed reading measuring mode and Balance Reading
measuring mode will shield 'STORE', 'PRINT' key automatically.
Press 'View' key to search pH STD data. Please refer to chapter 'View pH STD Data' for details.
Press 'STD' key to re-calibrate pH electrode. Please refer to chapter 'pH Electrode Calibration'
for details.
During measurement, press 'SETUP' key to set manual temperature, mV displayed resolution, pH
displayed resolution and calibrated potential zero point.
If user selects continuous measuring mode (please refer to chapter 'Setup Measuring Mode'
for details), when measuring result stable, user could store current measuring result by pressing
'STORE' key. If it is connected with TP-16 printer before turning on, meter will print current
measuring data by pressing 'PRINT' key.
If user selects Timed Reading measuring mode (please refer to chapter 'Setup Measuring
Mode' for details), meter will automatically measure, calculate and display measuring result.
When set time interval reaches, meter will store measuring result automatically and start next
measuring after printing finishes.
If user selects Balance Reading measuring mode (please refer to chapter 'Setup Measuring
