4.2 Storage
After.cleaning,.store.the.equipment.in.a.dry.and.clean.
place.at.room.temperature..Avoid.exposing.it.to.direct.
sunlight..The.flow.meter.can.be.turned.inside.out.and.
can.be.used.as.a.storage.bag.for.the.head.top.

4.4 Spare parts

Always.use.genuine.Sundström.parts..Do.not.modify.
the.equipment..The.use.of.non-genuine.parts.or.
modification.of.the.equipment.may.reduce.the.
protective.function.and.put.at.risk.the.approvals.

4.4.1 To change/charge the battery

4.4.2 To change the particle filters/
combined filters
Change.the.particle.filters.at.the.latest.when.they.are.
clogged..The.fan.senses.when.this.has.occurred.and.
provides.a.warning.as.described.in.1.2.under.the.
heading.Warning.system/alarm.signals..The.gas.filters.
should.preferably.be.changed.in.accordance.with.a.
predetermined.schedule..If.no.measurements.are.
made.on.site,.the.gas.filters.should.be.changed.once.
a.week.or.more.frequently.if.the.pollutants.can.be.
smelt.or.tasted.in.the.head.top..
Bear.in.mind.that.both.filters/combined.filters.must.be.
changed.at.the.same.time.and.must.be.of.the.same.
type.and.class..Proceed.as.follows:
•.. Switch.off.the.fan.unit.
•.. Unscrew.the.filter/combined.filter.
•.. Release.the.filter.holder..Fig..24.
•.. Change.the.pre-filter.in.its.holder..Clean.as.
necessary.
• To release the particle filter SR 510 from the
adapter, proceed as follows:
•.. Grip.the.filter.with.one.hand.
•.. Place.the.thumb.of.the.other.hand.on.the.
underside.of.the.adapter.at.the.semicircular.
gap..Fig..25.
•.. Then.prise.out.the.filter..Fig..26.
• To release the particle filter SR 510 from the gas
filter, proceed as follows:
•.. Grip.the.gas.filter.with.one.hand.
•.. Insert.a.coin.or.some.other.flat.object,.e.g..the.
filter.adapter,.in.the.joint.between.the.particle.
and.gas.filters.
•.. Then.prise.out.the.filter..Fig..27.

4.4.3 To change the gaskets
The.gaskets.in.the.filter.mountings.of.the.fan.unit.
prevent.polluted.air.being.drawn.into.the.fan.unit..They.
must.be.changed.once.a.year.or.more.frequently.if.
wear.or.ageing.is.detected..Proceed.as.follows:
•.. Switch.off.the.fan.unit.
•.. Screw.out.the.filters.
•.. The.gasket.has.a.groove.all.round.and.is.fitted.on.a.
flange.below.the.threads.in.the.filter.mounting..Fig..

•.. Fit.the.new.gasket.onto.the.flange..Check.that.the.
gasket.is.in.place.all.round.
