Initial operation

Before starting to operate the machine, the
operator must be prepared and conscious of the
basic safety and operating rules as described in
this manual. If there are any doubts, we
recommend asking your reseller or get in touch
with our technical support department.
After following the procedures described in the
previous pages, the Grain Silo Filler is ready to
start operating. Before turning it on, do the
following very carefully:
- Check to see that there are no objects or tools
on the machine or inside the worm thread
conveyor.
- Check to see that the shields are installed on
the machine (on the driveshaft, belt etc).
- Check to see if there are any animals or people
near the machine. Be especially careful of
children.
Start the tractor motor and let it run for a few
moments idling. Connect the power take-off and
start accelerating it little-by-little.
The rotation of the power take-off depends on
the type of product being used:
Corn, sorghum and wheat:
750 to 900 rpm, on the tractor tachometer.
Sunflower, oatmeal and rice:
1200 to 1500 rpm, on the tractor tachometer.
