PLACING THE DRIVESHAFT
CAUTION
Never use the driveshaft without the safety
shielding.
Contact with the moving driveshaft can
cause a serious accident.
Depending on the tractor used, it may be
necessary to cut the driveshaft. This is due to
the variation in distance between the power
take-off and the machine actuation axle, as
there are differences among tractor models.
If necessary, proceed as follows:
1- Disassemble the two parts of the driveshaft
(male and female).
2- Couple the side with the solid bar (male) to
the machine and the female part in the tractor.
3- Place the two parts (male and female)
parallel to each other (fig.21). The ends which
are too long must be cut.
4- Mark the places where they will be cut. Leave
about 30 millimeters of play on each side.
5- Remove the driveshaft from the machine and
the tractor and cut both sides.
