will disconnect automatically and the
pilot light will go out.
8. Once you have finished using the
appliance, unplug it from the mains and
let it cool completely before removing
the drip tray (E) and keep it to one side.
9. In order to avoid the food over-cooking,
remove the basket immediately, using
a handle for warm containers and put it
on a plate or on the underside of the lid.
If you use the container for rice, remove
this carefully holding it on both sides
and, if necessary, use a long handled
kitchen utensil.
Caution:
In order to avoid scalding due to hot steam,
use an oven-glove or a handle for hot
containers when removing the lid or the
baskets.
Remove the lid (A) slowly with the inside
of the lid away from you and let the steam
escape gradually. Hold the lid over the unit
to allow the condensation to drain into the
steam cooker. (Fig 5 ).
Do not stand close to the appliance during
the cooking process. If you need to check
the progress of the cooking or to stir, use a
long handled utensil.
Caution:
Be very careful when removing the drip tray
(E). Even though some of the unit's parts
are cold, the water in the deposit and on
the tray can still be hot.
Do not switch the appliance on if the
baskets and the lid are not correctly fitted
on the appliance.
6. USING THE BASKETS
a) Number 2 is the larger basket and 1 is
smaller. The numbers are etched on the
basket handles (Fig. 6).
b) When fitting the baskets one on top
of each other, make sure that the top
basket has fitted correctly on the lower
basket.
c) Always put the largest pieces of food
with the longest cooking time in the
lower basket.
d) You can put different food in the top
basket and the lower basket, but the

condensation will drip from the top
basket, make sure that the flavours are
compatible.
e) If you are steaming meet or poultry and
vegetables, always put the meat in the
lower basket so that the raw or partially
cooked meat juices do not drip on the
other food.
f) The cooking times for the food in the
top basket are slightly longer, so add 5
minutes extra.
g) If you are going to cook several foods
with different cooking times, put the
food with the greatest cooking time
in the lower basket and switch the
appliance on. Then, when the remaining
time corresponds to the foods with the
shortest cooking times, remove the lid
carefully and put the remaining baskets
on top of the lower basket. Cover and
continue the steam cooking.
7. WATER REFILL DURING COOKING
The recipes with long cooking time can
require the deposit to be refilled.
Regulalry check the water level through the
deposit spout (I).
• When you see that the water level is
close to the MIN, fill the deposit through
the spout (I) (Fig 7).
Caution: Do not make the appliance
operate without water as it can negatively
affect resistance.
• When the appliance runs out of water, it
cools down and the food cooking stops,
but the timer continues. For this reason,
when you refill the water deposit you
must check the timer and if necessary
select the remaining cooking time again.

8. COOKING EGGS

1. Place the steam cooker as described in
"HOW TO USE IT".
2. Place the eggs in the egg holders in the
baskets (Fig. 8) .
3. Fit the lid on the top part.

recommended cooking time.
