9. To clean inside the base body, use a
damp dishcloth.
10. C lean the unit on a regular base.
12. DESCALING THE WATER
CONTAINER
After constant use for 2-3 months, scale
can be deposited in the water deposit
(G) and on the heating element. This is a
normal process and the incrustation will
depend on the hardness of the water in
the area. It is essential that the appliance
is descaled regularly to maintain the steam
production and prolong the unit's life.
1. Fill the water deposit up to "MAX" level
with white wine vinegar (not red wine
vinegar).
IMPORTANT: do not use any other
chemical or commercial descaler.
2. Plug the appliance into the mains. The
drip tray, the baskets and the lid should
be correctly fitted in place during this
procedure.
3. Programme the timer for 25 minutes to
start steam cooking.
WARNING: if the vinegar overflows when
it starts to boil, disconnect the unit and
disconnect the timer. Reduce the quantity
of vinegar slightly.
4. When the timer (L) rings, disconnect
from the mains and let it cool completely
before pouring the vinegar away.
5. Rinse the water container several times
with cold water.

13. COOKING TIME TABLE AND
RECIPES
• The steaming times established in the
tables are just guidelines. The times can
vary depending on the size of the food
pieces, the volume of the food in the
baskets, the freshness of the food and
personal taste. Adjust the cooking time
as you become more familiar with the
steamer.
• The steaming times are for the
quantities established in the guide or
recipe. For larger or smaller quantities,
adjust the time accordingly.
• The steaming times refer to the food
cooked in the lower basket, unless
established specifically otherwise. The
food to cook in the top basket could
require a slightly longer cooking time.
• All the times established in the guide
and the recipes refer to using cold
water.
VEGETABLES
1. Cut the thick trunks for broccoli,
cauliflower and cabbage.
2. Steam the vegetables for the shortest
time possible given that they lose colour
easily.
3. Add salt and seasoning to the
vegetables after steaming to obtain the
best results.
4. Frozen vegetables must not be
defrosted before steaming.
