WARNING!
Risk of personal injury.
Activate the stop function on the TVFD before removing the Bulk-bags.
WARNING!
Risk of personal injury.
Personnel operating the FlexFilter EX must pay special attention to avoid
discharge of static electricity. The requirements for safe use and handling of
combustible dust should be described in the explosion protection document
and to all personnel.
15.1
Start and Stop description
The TVFD has a stop function that stops and evacuates the compressed air to
the TVFD. It works individually for each TVFD.
When the stop is activated the TVFD slide valves will stop moving and the
Filter cleaning valve will be inactivated. The stop switch is designed primarily
to prevent the valves from moving when changing the collection bags and
stopping the closing of the valves if something is in the way.
To activate the stop function, flip the stop switch (see picture no. 21 / 9)
down to "0". The quick exhaust valves on the pneumatic cylinders will quickly
remove remaining air pressure in the system and the manometer (see picture
no. 21 / 10) should show that there is no pressure in the system.
15.2
Changing Bulk-bags
The Bulk-bags or similar must be replaced when they are filled. How often this
occurs varies for each installation. Regular checks are recommended.
NOTE! Use conductive bulk-bags/containers.
Replacing bag/bags by:
1.
Activate the stop function by flipping the stop switch (see picture no. 21 /
9) to position "0".
2.
Remove (and close) bag opening from TVFD outlet. Pay special attention
to avoid unnecessary spillage/leakage of dust and accidental discharge of
static electricity.
3.
Remove the two earth clamps from the earth tags on the bag.
4.
Remove and replace bag.
5.
Refit the two earth clamps onto the earth tags.
6.
Attach the bag opening to the TVFD outlet.
7.
Flip the stop switch to position "I"
8.
Press the reset button. This will bring the TVFD back into normal
operation.
NOTE! The stop function only stops the compressed air to the TVFD. It does
not signal the control system that the TVFD is inactivated. If the control system
activates the filter cleaning/feed out sequence during the bag change, the
pressure-less air cylinders will trigger a functional alarm. This can be avoided
by using the Nederman "NS switch".
WARNING!
Risk of personal injury.
Risk of personnel injuries! Work inside the TVFD, such as removal of stuck
debris/material is strictly prohibited during normal operation and bag change.
