The FlexFilter EX shall be anchored to a hard, level and firm foundation. A
general example would be a reinforced concrete foundation at least 190 mm
(7,5 in) thick. However, installation on another structure is also possible.
When calculating for foundation or supporting structure the following factors
should be taken into consideration.
Total weight of the FlexFilter EX with accessories (see 5. Technical data).
Traction forces generated by explosion relief venting (for models with
relief venting only).
Max weight of the collected material.
Possible wind load.
The maximum load on the service platform (accessory).
Each of the anchor bolts securing the FlexFilter EX, must withstand traction
forces of 9 kN vertically and 5 kN horizontally.
Recommended bolts for concrete are Hilti HDA-P-M16X190 or equivalent. If
expansion bolts are to be used, the concrete foundation must be prepared
according to bolt recommendations.
The FlexFilter EX should not be installed close to heat sources or hot surfaces.
If installed outdoors, it is recommended that the FlexFilter EX is covered top
side to protect from snow/rain or other falling debris.

Installation

10.1
Transport
It is recommended to transport the FlexFilter EX to the installation site while
still in the factory packing.
Remove the packaging and carefully lift the TVFD off the platform.
10.2
Prefitting
Fit the top cover and bracket (see picture no. 10).
10.3
Lifting
The FlexFilter EX can be lifted in several ways (see picture no. 11). Either
under the frame by fork lift or by using lifting straps secured at the upper four
corners of the frame. When lifting with straps, a lifting beam must be used
to avoid strain and/or damage to the filter modules. Use padding to avoid
scratches.
NOTE! Please note the centre of gravity mark on the frame. Handling and
lifting must be done safely and in accordance with local regulations and
legislations.
NOTE! Please note the lifting point markings on the frame.
