2. Put the corset on the patient from the back to the front (dorsal-ventral). Ensu-
re that the position of the reclination bars does not put any pressure
on the armpits of the patient (Fig. 2).
3. First, close the Velcro closure of the lower pelvis buckle (Fig.3). This ensu-
res that the corset does not slide down. Thanks to the Velcro closures in the
ventral area of the back brace, the connection between bandage and corset
provides additional support.
4. Next, close the Velcro closure of the chest buckle (reclination bar). (Fig. 4).
5. Close the upper closing strap of the pelvic buckle (Fig. 5).
Please check again for correct positioning of all closures of the cor-
set and of the support bandage.
If the corset was put on for the first time, ask the patient to stand up (Caution:
keep diagnosis in mind).
6. Check the corset for correct fit. With the help of the provided screw driver, you
can continuously adjust the height of the thoracic and pelvic buckles individu-
ally (Fig. 6).
Depending on the mobility of the patient, this step may also be performed
while the patient is wearing the corset. If the patient has very limited mobility,
ask them to lie down and adjust the buckles while the back brace is off.
Put the corset on the patient and check again for correct fit of the orthopedic
aid.
