Information for the technician:
Fitting of the BORT DorsoFX back brace
The fitting of the BORT DorsoFX back brace may only be performed by trained professionals!
Ideally, you attend to the patient in interdisciplinary cooperation with the prescribing physician and the
competent physiotherapist.
If you attend to a patient who is in a hospital at the time, it is recommended to inform the nursing staff
about the BORT DorsoFX back brace.
Important note:
If the measured dimensions are directly at the transition to the next size, choose the larger size. The
material is easy to process and allows for easy modification in the workshop.
Most modifications will concern the back plate. You can shorten the upper end (cranial) by 3 cm and the
lower end (sagittal) by 2 cm.
Fitting of the BORT DorsoFX back brace on the patient
According to the indication and following consultation with the prescribing physician, the corset is put on
while the patient is standing or lying down!

1. Fit the support bandage onto the patient. You have to wrap it around the
patient's body at waist level and close it. On the back of the support bandage,
you find a freely positionable, double sided Velcro closure. It connects the
support bandage to the back brace (Fig. 1).
