PRELIMINARY RECOMMENDATIONS

Conditions of Use
The Marathon PRO Q II drive unit is designed and intended to be installed on sliding doors within the weight limits listed in the table of technical specifications.
Automatismos Pujol disclaims any responsibility if the drive unit is installed in any other kind of installation not covered in this manual. This automatic device
must be installed, connected and commissioned by qualified and trained personnel.
Applicable rules and regulations.
The Marathon PRO Q II drive unit is manufactured according to the following European Directives:
Directive EEC / EAEC / CE no. 23 of 19/02/1973
Directive EEC / EAEC / CE no. 336 of 03/05/1989

In addition, its design and implementation complies with the following technical standards:
En 292/1 and 2 Safety of machinery - Basic concepts, general design principles -Terminology, basic methodology.
En 294 Safety of machinery - Safety distances to prevent access to hazardous areas.
En 60335-1 Safety of electrical appliances for household and similar use.
Marathon PRO's CE marking refers only to the drive unit and not to the entire system (drive unit, door, frames, and so on.) The installer is responsible for CE
compliance with the door-drive unit set.
To avoid accidents during installation, consult the Chapter on Regulations
The unit must only be connected to the mains power after the installation operations described below have been completed and before the travel direction test,
and travel programming.
When the rotation direction test and travel programming operations are carried out, the installer must be out of the danger area and keep a safe distance from
the path of the door.
Installation Specifications
The drive unit must be installed in such a way as to require special tools for disassembly. When doors with gaps in them are installed, there must be no fixed
structures close to the door that could create danger of entrapment.
Check that the structure of the door and the pillars are sufficiently robust and that during movement there are no friction points, or danger of entrapment or
shearing.
Photocells or sensors shall be installed where required by the applicable standard
See the Chapter on Regulations to avoid accidents during maintenance
Maintenance operations should be done only once the device has been switched to safety mode. This is done by opening the single-pole switch on the start-up
control and making sure that this cannot be switched back during the maintenance operation (by suitable signage, locking the switch, etc.)
Note to Users:
Maintenance operations on the device or inspection by non-qualified personnel is prohibited.
