Cause
Operated on a hill.
Unit bounces or hops.
Pulling back swiftly on the handlebars.
Fuel is empty.
Carburetor is clogged.
Float is leaking.
Needle valve is stuck.
Spark plug is punctured, or short-circuited by
carbon deposit.
Side electrode of spark plug is dropped out.
Ignition coil is punctured or short-circuited.
Cylinder is seriously scored and valve dropped
out.
Cause
Oil level is low
Exhaust pipe blocked up
Shroud leaking
Cooling fins blocked by foreign matter
Cooling fan loosened and malfunctioning.
Connection rod deformation has made piston
and cylinder bushing side wear
Cylinder or piston or piston ring is worn and
made a space between cylinder and crankcase
Crankshaft main bearing burned out
Piston, piston ring or cylinder is worn
Connection rod or piston pin and piston pin
hole are worn
Crankshaft main neck is worn

TROUBLESHOOTING
Solution
Keep engine oil level within targets and operate
tiller on inclines less than 15 degrees, or
disconnect oil sensor wire temporarily.
Refill fuel.
Check fuel line and dredge.
Repair.
Dismantle float chamber and eliminate.
Replace spark plug.
Replace spark plug.
Replace ignition coil.
Repair or replace damaged parts.

Fill oil to proper level
Clean exhaust pipe
Repair damaged part
Clean cooling fins
Reinstall properly
Replace connection rod
Replace the worn parts
Replace main bearing
Replace the worn part
Replace the worn part
Replace the worn bearing
