which in practice eliminates the stopping function (but not the warning function).
A long stop delay must be avoided but may be necessary while waiting for new
filters to be delivered. he Summary Alarm is also available at the terminal block
(terminals 62–64).
8)
Inlet terminals for a dust level indicator is standard in the starter, terminals
56–57–58, but the dust collector must have the option "LI" (Level Indicator),
an indicator registration a full collecting bin. False alarm is avoided by setting
a "Bin alarm re(sponse)" to 1 minute. During Warning the yellow lamp on the
starter flashes and the warning is available at terminals 60–61. "Stop delay time"
is normally set to 15 min resulting in Summary Alarm and vacuum unit stopping
after 15 minutes after the warning if the bin has not been emptied. The time can
be set longer, up to 9999 min, which in practice eliminates the stopping function
(but not the warning function). A long stopping delay should be avoided but may be
necessary if it is not possible to immediately stop the installation for emptying the
dust bin.
9)
The extra inlet "AUX" may be used for any desired function. Default settings are
suitable for the Control Filter, which is a common RBU-unit option. The control
filter protects the Roots pump in case the dust collector has a defect filter. False
alarm is avoided by a 30 s warning delay. No measure taken within 15 min after
a "sharp warning" causes a Summary Alarm and vacuum unit stopping. The
stopping delay time can be set longer, up to 9999 min, in practice eliminating
the stopping function (but not the warning function). A long stopping time
must absolutely be avoided but may be necessary should it prove impossible to
immediately stop the installation for replacing the control filter. The programmed
AUX function implies terminals 65–66 must be bridged if the AUX input is not
used.
10)
Automatic Emptying is a FlexFilter option. The automatic emptying function,
either AEB (Automatic Emptying Bin) or TVFD (Twin Valve Feedout Device)
is always available in the starter. AEB requires only one pair of output terminals
(52–53) whereas TVFD requires two outputs (50–51 & 52–53). Emptying can also
be released manually using an extra push button. Necessary input terminals are
available in the starter (54–55) but the push button is optional.
