a set value. See pages 13–14 for setting the motor
overload S1F. The setting dial (A) is located to the left on
S1F. The motor overload relay requires manual resetting
by pushing the round blue button (B) to the right on S1F.
After that, the alarm is reset by pushing "Reset" followed
by "Enter" on the display. Always check the reason for
motor overload.

and adjusted. An incorrect sensor may damage PLC inputs. Only original sensors
approved by Nederman High Vacuum Systems must be used. Installing any other sensor
voids the starter guarantee
Maintenance switch OFF (MS)
The maintenance switch must have an auxiliary switch that breaks
up a control circuit a few milliseconds before the motor power is
switched off. The auxiliary switch must be wired to the starter, see
Chapter '6 External connection'. This results in the contactors breaking up

the power circuits, instead of the maintenance switch, even in an emergency
stop using the maintenance switch.
Overheating (TS)
Most vacuum units are standard fitted with one or more thermal switches
(TS) fitted to the fan/pump, see the respective manuals. The vacuum unit
stops immediately and the PLC triggers a Summary Alarm upon thermal
switch break-up.
ENTER
Fire alarm
The FlexFilter dust collector can be fitted with an optional thermal switch
tripping upon fire in the dust collector. The switch can be wired directly to the
starter or to a control room computer which in turn gives a stopping signal to
the PLC. See the external wiring diagram, Chapter '6 External connection'.
The unit stops immediately in case of fire and the PLC triggers a Summary
ENTER
Alarm.
Overloading the
motor
The motor overload
relay trips and stops
the vacuum unit if the

motor current during
a certain time exceeds
Auxiliary input (AUX)
The default setting is intended for the Control Filter, an RBU-unit option. If
the pressure drop across the control filter gets too high, a relay is activated
in the electronic filter guard, which is part of the control filter. The circuit
to the starter terminals 65-66 breaks up causing a warning. False alarm is
ENTER
avoided by delaying the warning for 1 minute. With no correction made the
vacuum unit will stop after the time "Stop delay time" has elapsed, see menu
9 Chapter '12 PLC settings'.
Warning and alarm functions imply that installed sensors are correctly selected
