ATTENTION!
Use a sharp hex key. Special care needs to be taken when untightening/
tightening bolts for sizes 26-28 as the hex slot is shallow. If the hex slot is
worn out replace with a new bolt (Figure 5).
• Remove mounting bolts with hex key.
• Compress the heel bumper in order to expose the forefoot
bumper (a).
• Remove bumper.
• Position foot in maximum dorsiflexion to expose and remove heel
bumper (b).
• Replace with desired bumper ensuring the bumper is fully seated.
• Reassemble in reverse order.
• Apply Loctite 243 to mounting bolts, reassemble ankle to foot and
torque M6 bolts to 15Nm on sizes 22-25 and M8 bolts to 21Nm on
sizes 26-28.

NOTE : A Dual Density Shin Fairing FCX0002 is available. It allows the
range of motion in the ankle section to be maximized without
compromising the integrity of the foam where it is attached to the foot
cover. The soft section also facilitates access to the push button on
Elation.

conditions and for the intended purposes. The device must be
maintained according to the instructions for use. The manufacturer is
not liable for damage caused by component combinations that were not
authorized by the manufacturer.

This device meets the requirements of the 93/42/EEC guidelines for
medical devices. This device has been classified as a class I device
according to the classification criteria outlined in appendix IX of the
guideline.
COMPLIANCE
This component has been tested
according to ISO 10328 standard to two
million load cycles. Depending on the
amputee's activity this corresponds to a
duration of use of two to three years. We
recommend carrying out regular yearly safety checks.
