Troubleshooting

This is a guide to help resolve any problems which may arise when installing and operating the INGECON SUN LITE.
It also explains how to perform simple component replacement operations and how to adjust the equipment settings.
Any problems detected in the Ingecon® Sun units must be resolved by qualified personnel, obser-
ving the general safety conditions set out in this manual.
4.1

LED indications

Some of the LEDs indicate a particular problem in the PV system:

4.1.1 Green LED

This LED should be on when the start-up process and operation is normal, whilst the other LEDs should all be off. There are three
ON modes:
4.1.1.1 Flashing every 1s.
This flashing indicates that the PV array is providing adequate voltage to the inverter in order to then deliver energy to the Grid,
and the inverter is preparing to start-up. In this status, the inverter checks the grid parameters in order to deliver current to the grid
at the exact grid voltage and frequency. This process takes about 1 minute.
4.1.1.2 Flashing every 3 s.
This is the on-hold status due to low irradiance. The LED flashes every 3 seconds. This alarm is triggered when the PV array is
not receiving sufficient irradiance to provide the inverter with the minimum voltage required to deliver energy to the grid. This is a
typical situation between sunset and sunrise, or when rain, clouds or other atmospheric phenomena are casting a dark shadow
over the PV array area.
Should this situation occur on a day that is not particularly dark, check that the panels are clean and connected correctly.
4.1.1.3 LED remain on
Inversor conectado a red.

4.1.2 Orange LED

This LED indicates that an inverter alarm has been triggered.
4.1.2.1 Flashing every 0,5 s.
The external fan is not operating correctly.
Check for the presence of foreign bodies in the fan, preventing it from rotating. Check for sufficient air flow.
4.1.2.2 Flashing every 1 s.
The internal fan is not operating correctly.
Contact your installer.
4.1.2.3 Flashing every 3 s.
The inverter is limiting the power delivered to the Power grid due to the fact that it is at the maximum permitted operating temperature.
If the ambient temperature is below the maximum temperature, then check that the fans are operating correctly, that the air inlets
and outlets are free from obstacles, and that there are no intense heat sources close to the inverter. If the error persists, contact
your installer.

4.1.2.4 LED remains on

This LED indicates that an alarm has been triggered in the inverter. Listed below are some of the alarms that could indicate a
problem in the inverter and which can be checked and / or corrected:
0400H, Manual Stop. The inverter has been shutdown manually. Check that the Manual Stop is not activated and, if it is, deactivate
it on the display.
0001H, Vin out of range.
0002H, Power grid frequency out of range.
0004H, Power grid voltage out of range.
The most likely reason is a Power grid outage. Account should be taken of the fact that alarms are added together. Therefore,
when this failure occurs, the alarm shown will be 0006H, the result of adding 0002H + 0004H.
When the Power grid returns to normal, the inverter will start operating again. If this is not so, then check the connection lines to
the Power grid.
If the Power grid quality parameters are adequate, then inspect the connection lines to the Power grid.
If the error persists, contact your installer.
