Assure is to be used exclusively for lower limb amputees.

INDICATIONS FOR USE

• Flex-Foot Assure is rated for low impact levels
(community ambulators).
• Not suitable for sport and high-impact activities.
ALIGNMENT: (Figure 2)
The heel wedge
• Provides smooth roll over and improved cushioning at heel strike.
• The heel wedge is an essential component for
Flex-Foot Assure function.

BENCH ALIGNMENT

1. Fit the foot cover (Figure 3 & 4).
2. Adjust to appropriate heel height (using the shoe).
3. Introduce appropriate socket angles.
4. The load line should fall through the 1/3
cover. The mark represents the junction of the posterior and the
middle third portion of the foot.

DYNAMIC ALIGNMENT

• The heel stores energy at heel strike and slowly releases it to assist
tibial progression.
• The forward momentum results in the toe being loaded for optimum
energy release at toe off.
• The heel wedge greatly influences Flex-Foot Assure dynamic
functions.
