Symptoms and Messages
Table 1 provides troubleshooting tips for the Wireless Link. For more data transmission troubleshooting
information, see the

Possible Cause
Your Wireless Link device is not
connected to the HeartStart
MRx.
There has been a failure in the
Wireless Link device or its cable.
The HeartStart MRx has detected
an unauthorized denial of service
data attack (DoS) and shut the
Wireless Link down.
During a 12-Lead transmission in
Clinical Mode, Wireless Link has
lost its data connection.
There is a weak transmission
signal or the Wireless Link is
incorrectly positioned.
This is normal operation.
Wireless Link connection icons
do not appear on the HeartStart
MRx while sending 12-Leads.
The 12-Lead transmission
progress bar is the only indication
of the transmission's progress.

If your Wireless Link does not work properly and
Possible Solutions
Wait up to 45 seconds from when the HeartStart
MRx was powered on for the Wireless Link and
HeartStart MRx to complete their data connection.
Check that RS-232 and LAN connections are secure.
Check the power light on the side of Wireless Link.
If the light is not on, the device or cable may be
broken. Replace Wireless Link or cable assembly. If
the light is still not on, call for service.
If the power light is on and checking connections
does not solve the problem, replace the Wireless Link
or call for service.
Turn the HeartStart MRx off for at least 10 seconds
then restart.
If the problem persists, contact your IT professional.
Allow the device to continue trying to send its
transmission. The countdown is 30 seconds long. If
you want to retry immediately, cancel your
transmission from 12-Lead Mode and attempt to
resend.
Change locations to improve signal strength.
Check orientation of Wireless Link and correct
positioning if required.
Change your location to improve signal strength.
No action required.
