Configuration Options

Most of the time, your IT professional selects the Configuration choices for Wireless Link. Tables 2 and
3 list the additional Wireless Link configuration items available in Configuration Mode. See the
Configuration chapter in your HeartStart MRx Instructions for Use for additional Configuration Mode
information. The default settings are listed in bold.

Cleaning
Wireless Link can be cleaned using the same cleaning instructions for your HeartStart MRx monitor/
defibrillator listed in the Maintenance chapter of the HeartStart MRx Instructions For Use.

Event Summary

If the Wireless Link option is installed, Wireless Link INOPs appear in the Event Summary.

Data Transmission - Transmit Devices Settings Options
Description
Set this option to
card installed and want to use it to transmit
data from the HeartStart MRx.
When the Wireless Link option is available, it
determines whether the HeartStart MRx looks
for the Wireless Link device.
Selects the default Clinical Mode transmission
method when the HeartStart MRx has both
Wireless Link and Bluetooth transmission
options installed and set to
Data Transmission - Wireless Link Settings Options
Description
Determines whether the Wireless Link operates
in Access Point Mode when entering Data
Management Mode. (This is separate from a
similar configuration option on the Wireless
Link device itself.)
If your facility has a Proxy Address, it may be
configured here.
If your facility has a Proxy Port, it may be
configured here.
Sets the Wireless Link's IP address. Change this
only when your network already has the default
address in use. (A corresponding change must
be made in the Wireless Link module as well).

