D. BATTERY INSTALLATION
Preparing The Scooter/Batteries For Installation (FIGURES 4, 5 AND 6)
To properly prepare the scooter/batteries for installation, perform the following steps:

1. Unscrew and remove the stability knob located under the seat on the front of the frame post (DETAIL
"A" of FIGURE 4).
DO NOT lift the seat by the arm rests - otherwise, injury or damage may occur.
2. Lift the seat assembly up and remove it from the frame support (DETAIL "A" of FIGURE 4).
3. Lift the rear shroud off of the frame post (DETAIL "B" of FIGURE 4).
NOTE: You will hear a "VELCRO

4. Remove the two (2) wide "VELCRO
the battery lifting straps and will be used later in the battery installation process. These two (2) straps
are wrapped together and will need to be separated (DETAIL "A" of FIGURE 5).
NOTE: DO NOT remove the narrow "VELCRO
is the battery fastening strap.
5. Disconnect the RED connector of the BATTERY wiring harness from the RED connector on the
CONTROLLER wiring harness and set aside (DETAIL "B" of FIGURE 5).
6. Disconnect the BLACK connector of the BATTERY wiring harness from the BLACK connector on the
CONTROLLER wiring harness and set aside (DETAIL "B" of FIGURE 5).
