4. The correct position of the buckle of the adult safety belt in relation to the car seat is
illustrated in figure 6-H. If in doubt, contact the manufacturer of the restraint device.
Checks to perform:
1. Make sure the vehicle's safety belt is not twisted and that the car seat is correctly
secured. Otherwise, re-fasten the safety belt.
2. Make sure that both of the Smart Fix connectors are correctly fastened to the ISOFIX
anchoring points and that their indicators are green.
3. Grasp the car seat harness and pull forward; the car seat should remain attached to the
vehicle's seat or move only slightly.
6.3 Installing the car seat for group 2/3, for children weighing between 15 and 36 kg
We recommend using the 5-point belt as long as possible.
When the child grows, exceeding the configuration of use of GROUP 1 (between 9 and
18kg), the child car seat must be adjusted for use as GROUP 2-3 (from 15 to 36kg) In this
configuration it is necessary to remove the 5-point belt (harness) provided with the child
car seat.
NOTE! Before installation, remove the 5-point harness system of the car seat (cf. 7.1).
NOTE! Store the buckle, straps and shoulder straps (chest protection) in a safe space for
any future use.
1. Follow the instructions from paragraph 6.1 to attach the car seat to the ISOFIX anchoring
points of the vehicle's seat using the Smart Fix connectors (6-J).
2. Place the baby in the car seat.
3. Adjust the headrest by pulling the adjustment lever located behind the headrest. Raise
or lower the headrest according to the baby's height.
4. Secure the baby using the 3-point belt installed in the car by passing the chest belt
through the guide located in the lower part of the headrest (6-K).
5. Pass the safety belt over the baby and fasten the belt to the buckle (6-L). A click will
indicate that it has been correctly fastened. Verify that the belt is not twisted.
6. After fastening the safety belt to the buckle, tighten the belt by pulling first on the
lap belt and then on the chest belt, to eliminate slack from the belt, and reintroduce the
un-tensioned part of the belt into the retractor (6-L).
Checks to perform:
1. ATTENTION! Ensure that the chest belt is above your child's shoulders and not near
his/her neck.
2. ATTENTION! Ensure that the vehicle seat belt is not twisted and that the tension is
adjusted correctly.
3. ATTENTION! The hip belt must be positioned as low as possible over your child's pelvis.
4. Make sure that both of the Smart Fix connectors are correctly attached to the ISOFIX
anchoring points and that their indicators are green.
