Safety instructions

WARNING!
This product may be used only by trained medical staff, who
have been shown how to use it according to the instructions for
use.
Check the product for damage before use.
If damaged, do not use this product!
If the contaminated separating medium emits spray, there is a
risk of infection to OR personnel. When using this product, you
should therefore wear protective equipment, e.g. face and spray
protection. The protective equipment must be appropriate to the
risk of infection, which is determined by the patient's condition.
Risk of burns! When electrosurgical voltage is activated, the tip
of the instrument heats up and may remain hot after activation.
Do not touch the tip of the instrument.
Risk of burns as a result of leaking instrument parts. The sepa-
ration medium that is issued from the instrument in uncontrolled
fashion as a result of leaks conducts the current during electro-
surgical activation. This can cause injury to the patient and/or
surgical staff. Erbe recommends performing test activation of
the waterjet to ensure that the product is not leaking.
Risk of burns! Do not touch any metal objects while activating
the electrosurgical voltage. Metal objects (e.g. implants, stents,
other instruments, etc.) conduct the current and can injure the
patient and/or surgical staff. Moreover, the tip of the instrument
may be irreparably damaged as a result of activation against
metal.
Only activate the electrosurgical voltage when required and only
for as long as required. The longer you perform activation, the
hotter the instrument tip becomes and the faster the instrument
will wear. If you are often required to perform activation for a
longer period of time, pause for a sufficient length of time be-
