FAULT
• The heater does not work:
lamp is on
(burner is in safety stop)
• The burner starts and the flame lights,
generating smoke
• The burner does not stop
• Fan is noisy or vibrates
• Insufficient heating

• Burner motor winding is damaged
• Burner motor bearing blocked
• Burner motor condenser burned out
• Defective ignition
• Defective flame control box
• Defective photocell
• Insufficient or no fuel at burner
• Defective solenoid
• Insufficient combustion air
• Excess combustion air
• Diesel is contaminated or contains water
• Air leaks in fuel circuit
• Insufficient fuel at burner
• Excess fuel at burner
• Defective solenoid seal
• Dirt on fan blades
• Poor air circulation
• Insufficient burner capacity
REMEDY
• Replace motor
• Replace bearings
• Replace condenser
• Check connections of ignition wires to electrodes and
transformer
• Check position and distance of electrodes
• Check that electrodes are clean
• Replace ignition transformer
• Replace box
• Clean or replace photocell
• Check condition of pump-motor coupling
• Check for air infiltrations in fuel circuit by checking air-
tightness of pipes and filter seal
• Clean nozzle or replace if necessary
• Check electrical connection
• Clean solenoid and replace if necessary
• Remove all possible obstacles or obstructions from air
inlet and/or outlet
• Check position of air adjustment ring
• Clean burner disc
• Check position of air adjustment ring
• Replace old fuel with clean fuel
• Clean diesel filter
• Check seal of pipes and diesel filter
• Check pump pressure level
• Clean or replace nozzle
• Check pump pressure level
• Replace nozzle
• Replace solenoid body
• Remove dirt
• Eliminate all obstacles to air flow
