Operating the engine

Only start and allow the engine to run out-
doors.
Filling with petrol
1. Remove the tank cap (01/3).
2. Fill the tank up to the lower edge of the oil fill-
er pipe. Do not overfill.
3. Screw the tank cap (01/3) on firmly again.

Charging the rechargeable battery (04)
NOTE The rechargeable battery must be
"woken up" from Sleep mode by charging before
being used for the first time. The rechargeable
battery can be charged in any charge state. Inter-
rupting charging does not damage the recharge-
able battery.
CAUTION! Danger of fire during
charging! Due to heating of the charger, there is
a danger of fire if it is placed on an inflammable
surface and is not adequately ventilated.

Always use the charger on a non-inflamma-
ble surface or in a non-combustible environ-
ment.
■
If available: Keep the ventilation slots free.
1. Open the dust cap (04/1) on the recharge-
able battery (04/2).
2. Connect the rechargeable battery (04/2) to
the charger (04/3), and the charger to the
mains voltage. The charging process begins.
3. Observe the charge state indicators on the
rechargeable battery. Charging takes approx.
1 hour until the rechargeable battery is fully
charged. Charging is complete when the 3
green and 1 red LED on the charge state in-
dicator have a steady light. The battery is ful-
ly charged.
4. Disconnect the rechargeable battery (04/2)
from the charger (04/3) and the charger from
the mains voltage.
5. Close the dust cap (04/1).

1. Push the rechargeable battery (05/1) into the
rechargeable battery slot (05/2) until it engag-
es.
Pulling out the rechargeable battery (05/b)
1. Press and hold the unlock button (05/3) on
the rechargeable battery.
2. Pull out the rechargeable battery.

Determining the charge state of the
rechargeable battery (06)
There is a control panel with a push-button (06/1)
and LED charge state indicators (06/2) on the
front of the rechargeable battery.
1. Press the push-button (06/1). The charge
state indicators light up according to the
charge state of the rechargeable battery.

5 OPERATING THE ENGINE
For further information: refer to the lawnmower's
operating instructions.
DANGER! Risk of poisoning. The engine
exhaust gases contain carbon monoxide that can
kill a person within a few minutes.

Only start and operate the engine in the open
air.
■
Never operate the engine in enclosed areas
even with the windows and doors open.
■
Do not inhale the engine exhaust gases.
■
Switch off the engine if you feel nauseous,
dizzy or weak during use. Immediately con-
sult a doctor.
WARNING! Danger of explosion and fire.
Petrol and oil are highly flammable. Fire can lead
to serious injuries.
■
Never use starter spay or similar.
