TESTING PROCEDURES
Connect the product to testing wiring no. 1.
Check that any tester switch is set to OFF, that the knobs are all rotated in counter-clockwise direction
and that the rotating INDICATOR is set to RIS.
Once the product has been connected, set the commutator to GAS.
Set the switch +12 V Batt. to ON.
Set the switch +12 V Sc to ON. The YELLOW LED of the commutator and the GREEN LED OUT GAS of
the tester will turn on for a priming period given by the trimmer position located on the rear side of
the commutator and the will turn off.
The GREEN LED and the RED LED for RESERVE on the commutator will remain on to indicated that the
commutator is set to GAS.
Set the switch RPM to ON. The GREEN LED OUT GAS on the tester and the YELLOW LED on the
commutator will turn on.
By setting the INDICATOR switch from RIS to R and vice versa, you can test the correct operation of
the LEDs RESERVE.
By setting the switch on the commutator to the central position, the LEDs GAS and GASOLINE both of
the product and of the tester will remain on at the same time. The GREEN and RED (RESERVE) LEDs
on the commutator turn off. Set the switch of the commutator to GASOLINE.
Only the RED LED GASOLINE on the commutator and the RED LED OUT BENZ. on the tester will
remain on, while the LEDs relating to GAS remain off. Set the switch of the product to the central
position. The RED LED OUT BENZ. on the tester will turn on. All the LEDs on the commutator are off.
By setting the switch of the product to GAS, the YELLOW and GREEN LEDs of the commutator (beyond
the RED LED RESERVE) and the GREEN LED OUT GAS of the tester will turn on.
Set the switch RPM to OFF. The GREEN LED OUT GAS on the tester and the YELLOW LED on the
commutator will turn off.
Switches to OFF.
Connect the product to testing wiring no. 1.
Check that any tester switch is set to OFF, that the knobs are all rotated in counter-clockwise direction

Once the product has been connected, set the commutator to GAS.
Set the switch +12 V Batt. to ON.
Set the switch +12 V Sc to ON. The RED LED GASOLINE, the RED LED RESERVE of the commutator
and the RED LED OUT BENZ. of the tester will turn on, while the GREEN LED of the commutator
blinks. Set the switch of the product to GASOLINE and then again to GAS. (Emergency).
The GREEN LED on the commutator stops blinking and remains still.
Set the switch RPM to ON.
On the commutator the RED LED GASOLINE turns off and the YELLOW LED GAS turns on, while on the
tester the RED LED OUT BENZ. turns off and the GREEN LED OUT GAS turns on.
(Simulation of the switching to GAS in an Emergency condition).
By setting the INDICATOR switch from RIS to R and vice versa, you can test the correct operation of
the LEDs RESERVE. Set the switch of the commutator to GASOLINE.
Only the RED LED GASOLINE on the commutator and the RED LED OUT BENZ. on the tester turn on,
while the LEDs relating to GAS turn off.
Set the switch of the commutator to GAS.
The RED LED RESERVE on the commutator turns on again, while the GREEN LED starts blinking by
indicating that the commutator is currently running with GASOLINE but is waiting to switch to the
GAS running.
Rotate the knob RPM slowly in clockwise direction (increase of the engine RPM) up to the moment in
which the GREEN LED remains still.
Rotate the knob RPM slowly in counter-clockwise direction (decrease of the engine RPM) by simulating
a deceleration.
On the commutator the YELLOW LED turns on by indicating that the car has switched to GAS, while
on the tester the RED LED OUT BENZ. turns off and the GREEN LED OUT GAS turns on.
By changing the position of the trimmer on the commutator you can change the number of revolutions
for the switching to GAS.
Set the switches to OFF.
