Custom setting – Changing the Ai-
NET settings
The Ai-NET settings are used to output the
sound of connected Ai-NET products.
NOTE
When the settings are changed, the old settings are
overwritten. Make a note of the current settings before
making changes. The settings are not cleared even when
the vehicle's battery is disconnected.

In the stop mode, press the SET button for at
least 2 seconds.
The default setting menu appears.
NOTE
This operation cannot be performed in the PRE-STOP
mode.

Use the Joystick to select "CUSTOM SETUP",
then press the ENT button.

then press the ENT button.

Use the Joystick to select "DVD-CHG" or "CD-
CHG", then press the ENT button.
DVD-CHG
When connection is made to the head unit (e.g.,
head units such as CDA-7990, CDA-7977, and
CDA-7878 that support Ai-NET and were
available after January 2001) or AV head unit
(e.g., AV head units such as CVA-1006, CVA-
1003, and IVA-C801 that support Ai-NET and
were available after January 2001)
DVD-CHG is the factory setting.
CD-CHG
1. When connection is made to a head unit
(excluding CDA-7990) that supports Ai-NET
and was available prior to January 2001 or
AV head unit (e.g., CVA-1005, CVA-1000,
and IVA-C800).
When the DVD-CHG setting is made with the
aforementioned head units, identification of
the DHA-S680 will no longer be possible and
operation from the head unit will no longer be
possible.
2. When the optional VERSATILE LINK
TERMINAL (KCA-410C) is used and DHA-
S680 is connected.
NOTES
• Press the RTN button to return to the previous screen.
• If the Ai-NET setting is "CD-CHG" when used with
the CVA-1006/CVA-1003/IVA-C801, operation from
the main menu screen is not possible.
• If the Ai-NET setting is "DVD-CHG" when used with
any Ai-NET compatible head unit other than the
CVA-1006/CVA-1003/IVA-C801, volume is the only
operation possible from the head unit.
• To call the DVD video by using the CVA-1005/CVA-
1000/IVA-C800, switch the mode to "AUX" with the
V. SEL button on the CVA-1005/CVA-1000/IVA-C800.
• When the Ai-NET setting is "CD-CHG", the operable
functions and displays may differ depending on the
Ai-NET compatible head unit connected.

Press the SET button for at least 2 seconds.
The settings are stored and the set up mode is
canceled.

Turn off the vehicle's ignition, then turn it on
again.
