SWITCHING ON/OFF

On and off
Press button 1 to switch your audio
system on and off.
The audio system can be used with the
vehicle ignition off. It will function until a
beep sounds warning that it is switch-
ing off.
Press on 1 to make it run for a few min-
utes more.

CHOOSING THE SOuRCE

Choosing the source
Scroll through the different sources by
repeatedly pressing on 7 or on 12.
The activated sources are available in
the following order: FM radio, CD/cas-
sette (if inserted), CD changer (if avail-
able), LW/MW radios (if activated) and
auxiliary input (if available and acti-
vated).
The LW/MW and AUX sources can be
activated in EXPERT mode; see the
section on "Settings".

VOLuME

Volume
Adjust the volume by pressing 2 (+/-)
or 14/15. The display reads VOL fol-
lowed by the current setting value (from
00 to 32).
Note: The volume selected when the
system is switched off will be recalled
when the system is next switched on
(but the volume is limited to level
VOL 15).
Automatic volume
The volume can be set to adjust au-
tomatically according to the vehicle
speed. To set this function, see the
information on "Customising the
settings (Expert mode)".
Mute
Press on 17 or simultaneously on 14
and 15 of the steering wheel control to
cut out the sound. This function is auto-
matically deactivated when the volume
controls are used, when the source
is changed, and when traffic news or
news bulletins are broadcast.
Note: the radio cuts out if the seat belt
is not fastened when driving (depend-
ing on equipment).
