AuxILIARY INPuT (depending on equipment)
Some devices have an auxiliary input
accessible via the glove box or near the
card reader.
This input allows a personal stereo to
be listened to directly through the vehi-
cle speakers.
It has an RCA (red and white) socket or
a jack socket.
Connection
Use a special cable (not provided), and
connect the socket of the auxiliary input
to the portable audio player headset
socket (usually a 3.5 mm jack).
Always switch off the port-
able player and the audio
system before connecting or
disconnecting them. There
is a risk that the sound quality will
be adversely affected, or even that
the equipment will be damaged.
GB.14
use
Activate the audio system auxiliary input
(refer to the information on "Activating
auxiliary sources" in the "Expert mode
settings" section).
Select AUX as the source by press-
ing 7 or 12, then switch on the personal
stereo.
Note: the portable audio player func-
tions cannot be controlled by the audio
system.
Only handle the personal
stereo when traffic condi-
tions permit.
Leave the personal stereo
shut inside the glove box when
driving (to avoid any risk of it being
thrown around).
