LISTENING TO A CASSETTE (depending on equipment)

Listening to a cassette

When a cassette is inserted, the audio
system automatically switches to cas-
sette.
To listen to a cassette already inserted
in the player, press 7 or 12 to select the
"TAPE" source.
The cassette is turned over automati-
cally when the side finishes playing. To
switch sides during playback, simulta-
neously press the two buttons 5.
Ejecting a cassette
Press 3 to eject the cassette.
The audio system will automatically
return to the radio.
Finding the start of a track
The cassette player can find the start of
each song track.
Press 20 when the cassette is playing
then on one of buttons 5 to start search-
ing for the start of the track.
When searching, the audio system is
mute.
Press 20 to deactivate the function.
Fast winding
Press 5 (<< or >>) to start rewinding or
winding on the cassette.
Press projecting button 5 to stop the
fast winding.
Pause
Press 17 or simultaneously on 14/15 to
interrupt play of the current cassette.
The display reads PAUSE
Repeat this to resume playback.

DOLBY B noise reduction
If the cassette has been recorded using
the Dolby B noise reduction system,
press button 1 on keypad 4 for optimum
sound reproduction.
The display reads Dolby NR
Repeat this operation to deactivate
noise reduction.
The display reads NR OFF
Maintenance
Take care to prevent foreign bodies
from entering the cassette player.
Dust may accumulate around the mag-
netic head after the cassette player
has been used for a long time. This will
result in poor quality playback.
This can be remedied by using a clean-
ing cassette after every 50 hours of
cassette playback.
