1.3. INSERTING THE BATTERY
1.4. FUNCTIONS
PAC 25 and PAC 26 ammeter clamps are used to measure DC currents up to 1400A, AC currents up
to 1000Arms (1400A peak), and combined currents (AC+DC) without opening the circuit in which the
currents flow. They indicate the shape and amplitude of the current measured in the form of a voltage.
They can be used with a multimeter, a wattmeter, a recorder, etc.
They can be powered by a battery or at 5Vdc via the optional micro‑USB connector.
PAC clamps include:
a range overshoot indicator,
a power supply indicator,
a zero adjustment pushbutton,
automatic standby to prolong battery life,
one or two ranges depending on the model (sensitivity 1 and 10mV/A),
a micro‑USB connector to connect an external power supply.
Use a screwdriver to unscrew the captive screw
of the battery compartment cover.
Remove the battery compartment cover ➀.
Connect the battery to the snap-on connector;
take care with the polarity ➁.
Place the battery in its compartment ➂.
Put the battery compartment cover back in place;
make sure that it is completely and correctly
closed.
Screw the screw back in.
