2.4 Work on electrical components

• All work on the electrical equipment of the machine may only be carried out by
qualified trained electricians.
• In case of any electrical malfunctions, the machine must be immediately switched off.
• Before work is started on any parts of the machine which have an electrical supply, the
machine is to be isolated from the power supply and the switch locked to prevent it
being unintentionally turned on again.
• The machine's electrical system must be regularly checked. Defects, like damaged
cables or loose connections, must be reported and repaired immediately.
• All persons, who are not authorised to carry out work on electrical systems must not
be able to access the interior of the control unit's housing.
• The machine's earthing system must not be interrupted. Any earthing wires that have
been removed during maintenance must be replaced before it is switched on again.
• The operating company must follow DIN EN 60204-1 and ensure that there is a
suitable surge current protection device fitted to the machine's supply.

2.5 Work on hydraulic components

The machine works using energy from hydraulic pressure. When dealing with hydraulic
energy, the fundamental safety precautions are to be observed.
• All work on the hydraulic equipment of the machine may only be carried out by trained
specialist staff.
• Always de-pressurize system parts and lines before beginning repair work on them.
Fluids escaping under high pressure can penetrate the
skin and cause serious injury.
In case of injuries caused by the hydraulic fluid,
immediately consult a doctor, there is a risk of infection!
