IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

The product you have purchased is a state of the art appliance. It adheres to
all of the latest safety and technology standards; however, as with any electric
appliance, there are some potential risks. Only operate this product in accordance
with the instructions provided and only for its intended household use.
PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW BEFORE USING THE
APPLIANCE FOR THE FIRST TIME.
• Read all of the instructions contained in this manual before using the appliance.
• This product is not intended for commercial or outdoor use; it is only for indoor
household use.
• Remove all packaging materials and promotional labels before using the
Electric Steamer for the first time.
• Do not operate the unit if the electric cord or plug is damaged. If the appliance
is not working properly, has been dropped or damaged, left outdoors or
submerged in water, discontinue use immediately and contact Fagor's
customer service at (800)-207 0806.
• The Electric Steamer has a polarized AC (Alternative Current) plug, meaning
that one blade is wider than the other. It will only fit in a polarized outlet in one
way as a safety feature. Reverse the plug if the plug does not fit fully in the
outlet. If it still does not fit in the outlet, contact a qualified electrician. Do not
attempt to override this safety feature.
• Do not allow the electric cord to hang over the edge of any table or counter
surface.
• Do not let the electric cord come in contact with hot surfaces.
• If using an extension cord to connect the Electric Steamer, please note that
a damaged extension cord may cause the unit to malfunction. Always check
your extension cord for damage and be sure it is compliant with the required
voltage. Be sure not to place the cord where someone can trip over it.
• To eliminate a potential choking hazard for young children, remove and safely
discard the protective cover and all plastic bags when unpacking the appliance
for the first time.
• Do not place the food steamer near the edge of a table, counter or bench top
where it could topple over during operation. Ensure that the surface is level,
clean and dry.
• Do not place the Electric Steamer near heat-emitting devices such as heaters,
gas cooktops or electric burners.
• Always use the Electric Steamer in a well ventilated area.
• Children need close adult supervision at all times when they are in or around
the kitchen. Keep this appliance out of the reach of children.
