Using the Steamer Baskets

The special design of the Electric Steamer and the steamer baskets allows you
to use just one basket to cook, or up to all three at the same time if you want to
steam larger quantities or different types of food. It also allows you to customize
the baskets by inserting or removing the separators from the bottoms of the trays.
Cooking with one basket:
• Insert the smallest basket (also recognizable by the symbol "I" engraved on the
handles) into position on top of the drip tray.
• Fill with the food you intend to cook.
• Cover with the lid.
Cooking with two baskets:
• Insert the smallest basket (also recognizable by the symbol "I" engraved on the
handles) into position on top of the drip tray. Fill with food.
• Place the mid-sized steamer basket (also recognizable by the symbol "II"
engraved on the handles) on top of the smallest basket. Fill with food.
• Place the lid on this second basket.
Cooking with three baskets:
• Insert the smallest basket (also recognizable by the symbol "I" engraved on the
handles) into position on top of the drip tray. Fill with food.
• Place the mid-sized steamer basket (also recognizable by the symbol "II"
engraved on the handles) on top of the smallest basket. Fill with food.
• Place the largest steamer basket (also recognizable by the symbol "III"
engraved on the handles) on top of the second basket. Fill with food.
• Place the lid on this third basket.
Single large capacity cooking:
If you want to steam a larger item that will not fit in the space of a single basket,
you may create a larger basket by removing the bottoms of the mid- and large
size steamer baskets before placing them one on top of the other:
• Insert the smallest basket (also recognizable by the symbol "I" engraved on the
handles) into position on top of the dripping tray.
• Remove the bottom of the mid-sized tray (symbol "II" on handle). Place on top
of the small basket.
• If the space thus created is large enough for your item, place it inside the
steamer and cover with the lid.
• If it is still not large enough, remove the bottom of the largest steamer basket
(symbol "III" on handle) and place on top of the mid-sized basket. Fill with food,
and cover with the lid.
