NOTE: if all the water in the water reservoir is used before the cooking time is
up, the Steamer will start beeping to indicate that you must add some water
through the water refill spout. Add some water, and do not press any buttons;
steam will be generated automatically to continue with the cooking process.
6. USING THE DELAY TIME FUNCTION: if you wish to delay the start of your
cooking, you may do so by programming the delay timer. Follow steps 1 to
4 to program the desired cooking time, but do not wait 5 seconds. Press the
SET button again immediately after you finish programming the cooking time.
Next, the word "TIMER" will blink above the numbers "0:00". Use the HOUR
and MINUTE buttons to set the desired delay time. The maximum delay time
is 12 hours and 59 minutes.
Once you have selected the correct delay time, do not press any buttons for
the next 5 seconds. The word "TIMER" will stop blinking and the Steamer will
start counting down the delay time, after which it will automatically turn on
and cook for the previously programmed cooking time.
7. When the Steamer has finished cooking, it will emit an acoustic signal (five
short beeps) and automatically go into "KEEP WARM" mode. The light on
the ON/OFF button will turn green to indicate that the cooking time is up. At
this point, you may turn the Steamer off and remove your food. If you do not
turn the unit off and remove your food the Steamer will automatically keep
the food warm for up to one hour if no buttons are pressed and the unit is not
unplugged. After that time, it will beep 3 times and turn itself off.
8. If you wish to change the cooking time during operation, press the SET key.
The word "Steamer" will appear blinking, and you can use the HOUR and
MINUTE buttons to set the new cooking time. If you want to stop cooking
altogether, press the ON/OFF button once.
9. Switch off the appliance after use by pressing the ON/OFF button, and
unplug it.
10. Use a pot holder to remove the lid from the steamer basket, and make sure to
always tilt it away from you to avoid being scalded by the hot steam escaping
from inside the unit. Let the droplets of condensed steam drip back into the
steamer before moving the lid away.
Use pot holders to move the steamer baskets after cooking, as the handles
will be hot.
WARNING: be very careful when moving the steamer baskets after cooking,
and always use pot holders, to avoid burns and scalds.
11. Let the unit cool down completely before storing.
NOTE: If the Steamer overheats (for example, because the steamer basket's
holes have been plugged and steam cannot circulate from the base to the
baskets), it will emit an acoustic signal (continuous beeping) and turn off. To
use the appliance again let it cool, reposition the food to ensure that steam
can flow freely from the base to the baskets, and turn on again.
