• Do not put any food or liquid other than water into the water reservoir in the

steamer base (except for descaling purposes: see "Cleaning & Maintenance"

section in this manual). Only the steamer baskets and rice bowl are designed to

cook food.

• It is normal for some steam to be released during operation. Do not place the

unit near curtains, under kitchen cabinetry or in any other place where the

escaping steam might cause damage to furniture or textiles.

• Do not leave the appliance unattended when in use.

• Do not move this appliance during operation.

• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use the handles to remove the lid, steamer baskets

and rice bowl. Take care to avoid any steam escaping from the steam outlet

holes on the steamer lid. Use protective oven mitts to cover your hands.

• Always unplug and let cool before cleaning and removing parts. Never attempt

to unplug the unit by pulling on the power cable. Keep this appliance unplugged

when not in use.

• While in operation, do not cover the appliance or position it near flammable

materials including curtains, draperies, walls and fabric upholstered furniture.

• To reduce the risk of an electric shock, never immerse the plug, power cable or

housing in water or any other liquid.

• Only the steamer baskets and the rice bowl are dishwasher safe.

• For optimal performance, be sure to regularly clean this appliance.

• Only qualified experts may repair and perform maintenance work on this

Electric Steamer using authentic Fagor replacement and accessory parts.

Never attempt to dissemble and repair the Electric Steamer yourself.
