3.3) Positioning the machine
– Insert the pin (15) of the machine into the housing (5) of the support trolley (Ref. to Fig. 5).
The support trolley is designed to support Cembre portable machines (SD... sleeper drills and
NR... impact wrenches).
Note: we recommend fi tting the 10 cm (XT100) socket extension when using the impact wrench on
support trolley.
3.4) Operation
The support mechanism for holding the machine is designed with a four bar linkage, to guarantee
a precise raising and lowering of the machine (Ref. to Fig. 4).
The gas pressure spring (6) keeps the machine in equilibrium, facilitating easy movement during
the work.
– To adjust the gas spring, turn the knob (10) clockwise will decrease the gas spring resistance,
whilst turning the knox counterclockwise will increase the gas spring resistance.
– Start up the machine refering to its operation and maintenance manual.
– Use the support arm (8) of the machine to position it perpendicular to the base of the support
trolley; pressing the plate (3) and the pin (2) will lock the support arm in place facilitating the
movement of the support trolley along the track up to the working area, to release the support
arm (8) pull the pin (2).
The support arm can rotate 360° (Ref. to Fig. 6).
– Lower the machine and operate as appropriate.
– At the end of each operation, raise the machine and move the support trolley along the rail to
the new working position.
The support trolley can be quickly and easily removed from the rail by two people, using
the following holding points (ref. to Fig. 6):
– handle (B) and the 3rd wheel bar (11).
– handle (C) and the machine.
Duration for removal of the support trolley from track: ≤ 15 seconds.
4. TRANSPORT
The support trolley is made in such a way as to be divided into two parts to make handling easier for
one operator. The support mechanism of the support trolley closes to reduce the overall dimensions
and facilitate transport. To transport the support trolley, simply (Ref. to Fig. 7):
– Release the 3rd wheel bar (11) (see § 3.1)
– Push the support mechanism downwards and secure the latch onto the ring (4); the handle (9b)
placed in a central position makes carrying easier.
