It is assumed that you have read and understood the chapters "First things first" and "Safe
operation".
4.1

Forward/reverse control

The advance and reverse travel speed is adjusted using the forward/reverse control. The
machine comes to a standstill in 0 position.
When turning the forward/reverse control from 0 position to the right, the machine moves
forwards. If the forward/reverse control is turned to the left, the machine moves backwards.
4.2

Dead man's system

The machine is either equipped with a dead man's lever or two electronic sensor handles.
4.2.1

Dead man's lever

The engine can be turned off using the dead man's lever.
The dead man's lever must be held in down position while work is being carried out. The
engine is turned off when the dead man's lever is released.
When the PTO shaft control lever is being pressed or the PTO shaft control lever is in the
starting position, the engine cannot be turned off.
The machine can suddenly trap the user or third persons, cause them to fall over, run them
over, crush or lacerate them.
The dead man's lever is part of the safety system, never bypass it.
It is essential that the function of the dead man's lever is checked before commencing
work.
Any defects in the safety system must be remedied immediately after detection.
It is forbidden to work with a defective or bypassed safety system.
4.2.2

Electronic sensor handles

The engine can be switched off by means of the electronic sensor handles.
Minimum one sensor handle has to be held in down position when working.
The engine is turned off when both sensor levels are released.
When the PTO shaft control lever is being pressed or the PTO shaft control lever is in the
starting position, the engine cannot be turned off.
The machine can suddenly trap the user or third persons, cause them to fall over, run them
over, crush or lacerate them.
The electronic sensor handles are part of the safety system, never bypass them.
It is essential that the function of the electronic sensor handles is checked before
commencing work.
Any defects in the safety system must be remedied immediately after detection.
It is forbidden to work with a defective or bypassed safety system.
