Important!
The length of the cable between the first clamp (point A) and the drive unit (point B) must be 55 cm (Fig. 6).
9. Check the required loop length of the motor cable.
10. Mount the control unit on a solid and vibration-free surface.
11. If necessary, attach protection against chewing to the motor cable.

5.4 Electrical connection

Important!
If the unit is fuse-protected with one or more large consumers, functional faults and damage can occur to the electronics!
• The unit must be connected to the voltage and frequency specified on the rating plate.
• To connect the unit, a 16A AC socket must be installed. This must be installed out of the animals' reach (above the unit).
• The manufacturer accepts no responsibility and offers no guarantee for any damage caused by connections not set up by trained professionals.
• Local safety and earthing requirements must be observed. Ask your electrician!

6. Operation

Caution!
• The dip switch setting may only be carried out when the unit is disconnected from the power supply and after consultation with Kerbl Service.
• The dip switch setting must always be made according to the type of herd concerned. If the switch-off setting is too high, the cattle may sustain
injuries. The responsibility for this setting lies with the customer.

6.1 Switching on

Once the power supply is connected, the unit is ready for operation after around 20 seconds. The unit indicates its readiness for operation by
displaying 3 lines in the display (see fig. 7). Before that, the display shows the following:
• dIP - followed by the current dip switch setting, e.g. 16A,
• APP - followed by the current software version, e.g. 1.18,
(for further information, see Point 6.3. Display and electronics).

6.2 Function

The motor is activated by deflecting the brush. If the brush is deflected in any direction, the sensor board (Fig. 10 + 11) detects that the rest
position has been left and the brush starts to rotate for the set cycle time (factory setting 60 seconds). If the brush is in the rest position when the
work cycle is finished, the motor switches off. If the brush is still deflected after the cycle time has elapsed, the motor changes the direction of
rotation in contrast to the previous cycle and runs another cycle. By changing direction, the bristles are worn evenly and wear is reduced.
