Switching on the system

WARNING – risk of injury from escaping
test oil or ejected parts!
If the hydraulic connection for the test
equipment and the unit to be tested has
not been made properly, test oil may
escape under high pressure or parts of the
test equipment may burst on starting the
test. This may cause injury or damage to
property.
Before switching the system on, make
sure all hose assemblies on the test
equipment and the unit to be tested are
properly connected.
Do not open the splash guard until the
EPS drive motor has stopped.
Replace any leaky or defective hose
assemblies.

The operating instructions 1 689 979 951 describe
how to operate the voltage stabilizer.
1. Close the protective doors.
2. Use the main switch to switch on the EPS.
 The processor unit will start up.
3. Use the power switch to switch on the voltage
stabilizer.
4. Set the voltage on the voltage stabilizer.

14 ± 0.5 V for passenger car injectors
$
28 ± 0.5 V for commercial-vehicle injectors
5. Set the current limit on the voltage stabilizer to
maximum (35 A).
6. Enable voltage and current limit on the voltage
stabilizer.
7. Start the system software EPS 945-PE/VE/CR.
 The software will initialize the connected devic-
es.
 If all devices have been successfully detected,
the status lights will light up green.

Description of shot-to-shot
measurement

Only perform the test sequence in automatic mode.

The operating instructions for tester set CRI/
CRIN 848H describe how to select and test
injectors.
After the injector has been selected from the CD-
TestData database and the test has started, the test
steps will be triggered in sequence. During the test
steps for the test items (LL, EM, VL etc.), quantity
measurement is first. After quantity measurement
is complete, shot-to-shot scatter measurement will
