Models ENT-ACC01 and ENT-ACC03 are lifting poles intended to assist patients in positioning
themselves on the bed. Both models are supplied with an adjustable strap and handle, and are
suitable for use with Arjo Enterprise
Medical Beds.
Model ENT-ACC03 has an adjustable pole, which can be rotated to assist with transferring a
patient to or from a wheelchair.
Do not exceed the Safe Working Load of 75kg (165 lb)
Do not use the lifting pole to push or pull the bed.
Do not suspend other equipment from the lifting pole.
Refer to the bed Instructions for Use to confirm compatibility before using
this accessory.
The lifting pole must be positioned so that the handle hangs over the middle
of the bed.
Do not allow the strap and handle to hang outside the perimeter of the bed.
ENT-ACC03 only: do not attempt to rotate the pole while a patient is holding
the handle.
To reduce the risk of patient entrapment, the head end panel must remain fitted at all
times while the lifting pole is installed on the bed.
The bed should not be occupied by a patient while the lifting pole is being fitted.
Before installing the lifting pole, check that the bed's lifting pole sockets are not damaged
in any way.
Ensure that the lifting pole and handle are positioned to suit the size and medical needs
of the patient.
The strap and handle must not be used by persons under twelve years of age.
The operational life of the strap and handle is five years when used and maintained in
accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. After this time the complete unit should
be replaced.
Inspect the strap and handle regularly. If any sign of wear or damage is found, remove it
from use immediately and replace the complete unit
If a serious incident occurs in relation to this medical device, affecting the user, or the
patient then the user or patient should report the serious incident to the medical device
manufacturer or the distributor. In the European Union, the user should also report the
serious incident to the Competent Authority in the member state where they are located.
