Check the hydraulic oil usage
Caution
Use hydraulic oil with the correct specifications and make sure no dirt or dust enters the
hydraulic tank to prevent damage to the pump and tools.
•
If the pump is used at temperatures above -10 °C:
1. Check the hydraulic oil level.
2. If necessary, add ISO-L HV VG 36 oil.
•
If the pump is used at temperatures below -10 °C:
Replace the hydraulic oil with ISO-L HV VG 15 oil because the pump is delivered with ISO-L
HV VG 36 hydraulic oil.
4.3
Check the petrol engine
•
Check whether the bottle with engine oil is supplied.
•
Check that the spark plug spanner is present.
4.3.1
Fill the engine with engine oil
When delivered, the pump does not have any engine oil in it.
Caution
Never attempt to start the engine without engine oil.
•
Check that the viscosity of the engine oil supplied corresponds with the temperature range of the
working environment (Fig. 8).
Caution
Use only good quality engine oil that is suitable for four-stroke engines with SG or SF
classification and that has the correct viscosity.
•
Take out the dipstick (Fig. 2/8) and fill the engine with ± 600 cm
to the maximum level. The top mark on the dipstick shows the maximum level, while the bottom
mark shows the minimum level.
•
Screw the dipstick firmly back on to the engine.
4.3.2
Fill the fuel tank
DANGER
Petrol is extremely combustible and explosive in certain circumstances:
•
Only refill in well-ventilated areas.
•
Smoking is forbidden.
•
Close the fuel tank properly to prevent leaking.
•
Remove leaked fuel.
Caution
Do not use dirty fuel and make sure no dirt, dust or water enters the fuel tank to prevent
damage to the engine.
•
Close the fuel valve (Fig. 2/14) before filling the tank.
•
Take off the filler cap (Fig. 2/10) and fill the fuel tank no further than 4 cm from the edge of the filler
