6.2
Before use
6.2.1
General
Use the pump only for tools that require an hydraulic oil volume that is less than the maximum available
oil volume.
•
Position the pump on a solid level base.
•
Check the hydraulic oil level.
•
Check the fuel level of the petrol engine. Refer to section 4.3.2.
•
Connect the hydraulic hoses to the tool and the pump. Refer to section 5.2.
DANGER
The exhaust gases contain carbon monoxide that can cause unconsciousness or death:
•
Keep at a distance.
•
Never use a pump in an enclosed space and always make sure there is enough
ventilation.
•
Start the pump. Refer to chapter 5.4.
Caution
Allow a petrol motor to reach its operating temperature before using the pump.
•
Operate the pressure relief valve. Refer to the manual supplied with the valve.
The system is now ready for use.
6.3
During use
The pump is provided with a control valve. The pump develops oil pressure as soon as the motor runs.
Any pressure developed is released to the tank if the valve is in its "release" position. Only if the pump is
in its "operation" position the oil flows to the tool and pressure develops.
6.3.1
Change a tool
•
Disconnect the hoses from the tool in use. Refer to chapter 5.3.
•
Connect the hoses to the other tool. Refer to chapter 5.2.
6.4
After use
6.4.1
Shut down and disconnect
•
Stop the pump. Refer to chapter 5.5.
•
Disconnect the hydraulic hose(s) from the tool and the pump. Refer to chapter 5.3.
•
Electric motor: disconnect the power cord.
6.4.2
