Cause
The Remote Commander batteries are
dead.
The remote control cable is not
connected to the CONTROL S IN
connector (projector) or CONTROL S
OUT (Remote Commander).
The front/rear remote control detector is
near a fluorescent lamp.
There are no batteries in the Remote
Commander.
Cause
The lamp cover or the air filter is
detached.
The lamp has reached the end of its life.
The lamp has reached too a high
temperature.
The fan is broken.
The internal temperature is unusually
high.
The electrical system has failed.
Meaning
Internal temperature is too high.
This input signal cannot be projected as
the frequency is out of the acceptable
range of the projector.
The resolution setting of the output
signal of the computer is too high.
You have input an RGB signal from the
computer when INPUT-A in the SET
SETTING menu is set to COMPONENT,
DTV YP

or DTV GBR.

It is time to replace the lamp.
The air filter is clogged with dust.
Remedy
Replace with new batteries (see page 15 (GB)) .
Connect the remote control cable to both the
projector and Remote Commander, or disconnect
the cable (see page 15 (GB)) .
Change the setting of SIRCS RECEIVER in the
SET SETTING menu (see page 30 (GB)) .
Install batteries (see page 15 (GB)) .
Remedy
Attach the lamp cover or the air filter securely (see
pages 41 (GB) and 42 (GB)).
Replace the lamp (see pages 41 (GB) and 42
(GB)).
Wait for 120 seconds to cool down the lamp and
turn on the power again (see page 22 (GB)) .
Consult with qualified Sony personnel.
Check to see if nothing is blocking the ventilation
holes.
Check to see if the air filter is clogged with dust.
(Do not use an air filter for more than 500 hours.)
