5 OPERATING THE TOOL
5.1
Use of the tool
Before starting any operation with the tool:
Warning!
Wear suitable cloths and gloves when operating the tool. Always check the tool before using it and make sure
the ON/OFF switch functions properly. The shear must stop when the trigger is released. Do not use the tool
in case of switch failure. Always check that the voltage of the battery matches that of the pruning shear.
Warning!
When switching off the tool, the blade could need some time before stopping. Do not touch the blade while it
is moving to avoid any damage or injury risk.
•
Put the switch in ON position. After the warning tone, quickly pull the trigger two times to open the blades. The
shear will be operational after one more warning tone.
•
Do not exceed the cutting dimensions, in order to prevent the shear and the battery from possible damages. Do not
cut branches with a diameter which is larger than what indicated in the technical specifications.
•
Release the trigger if the mobile blade stops. It will automatically move back to its maximum opening position.
•
At the end of the pruning session, keep the trigger pulled for at least 3 seconds to close and keep closed the mobile
blade, then put the ON / OFF switch in OFF position and disconnect the tool from the battery
Warning!
Do not force the mobile blade sideways in order not to affect its sharpening.
Check the working frequency of the shear, in order to verify its good working conditions.
5.2
Cutting
Wear suitable work clothes with protective anti-slipping shoes, long trousers, gloves and goggles.

Wear eye protection
Wear head protection
Risk of cutting or serious injuries
Risk of falling materials
•
Never cut branches or other materials directly above your head and body to avoid injuries due to their falling.
•
To carry out the cut, position the blade on the branch to prune and pull the trigger.
•
When operating the tool, keep the other hand and any other part of your body at a minimum distance of 15 cm from
the blades.
•
Keep all the other people at a minimum distance of 1.5 m from the tool.
•
The mobile blade can get damaged or locked if it is forced for cutting too thick branches.
•
Do not move the tool while cutting, This can be dangerous.
•
Use the cable fixing straps to avoid risks due to cable cutting.
•
Do not use the tool in the rain or in humid environments.
•
After using the tool, put the ON/OFF switch in OFF position and disconnect the battery from the shear
Warning!
In case of cutting problems check the battery charge level and the right blade sharpening.
