3.2.11
When the start button is released, the wire
sticks to the workpiece (ineffective motor
braking).
To maximize the MIG end welding, the work programs
include the "Burn-Back" function, adjustable from the
control panel (see Instructions Manual).
In case of difficulty at the end of welding:
− make sure that the wire feeder motor brakes properly,
performing, if necessary, the WIRE FEEDER MOTOR
(12) BRAKING TEST, described below;
− make sure that the "Burn-Back" function adjustment is
working, by carrying out welding tests with different
parameter settings or switching the working program
with a similar one, if available. If you encounter
problems, upgrade the power source firmware to the
last version available on the Cebora Web site (see par.
2.4);
− check the compatibility of the components being used
(torch, type of contact tip, wire type and diameter, type
of gas, etc.) with the type of welding being carried out;
− check the wear status of the torch and its components,
replacing them if necessary;
− replace the panel board (19).
WIRE FEEDER MOTOR (12) BRAKING TEST.
□ Panel board (19), connector J5, terminals 1 and 2(gnd)
= Fig. 5.2.3, when the start button is released and with
open-circuit power source (voltage on the wire feeder
motor (12) during correct braking). The wire feeder
motor stops immediately.
YES
Correct?
♦ Check the wiring between J5 of panel board
(19) and motor (12).
♦ If the motor slows down with its own inertia
(Fig. 5.2.4 or similar), the braking circuit
on panel board (19) may be not working, in
which case replace the panel board (19).
■ Make sure that there are no mechanical impediments
preventing the wire coil from stopping despite the
braking action of the motor (e.g.: slipping of the wire
feeder rollers, improperly adjusted roller spring, etc.).
■ Replace panel board (19) and/or motor (12).

Error codes.

3.3.1

-02- EEprom error.

Block due to user data memory writing error.
Replace panel board (19).
3.3.2 -06- Communication error detected by panel
board (19).
3.3.3 -09- Communication error detected by INV
board on power board (34).
Communication error between panel board (19) and INV
board on power board (34).
Check the wiring between J1 on panel board (19) and J7
on power board (34).
Check correct fixing and connections cleaning of the INV
board on power board (34), J4 connector.
Replace panel (19) and/or power (34) boards.
3.3.4
-10- Missing voltage and current at the power
source output.
Upon power source start-up the control checks the
operating conditions by performing a brief test to generate
the open-circuit output voltage.
While this is taking place it is important that the torch not
touch the workpiece or welding bench.
The following conditions may be detected during this test:
− output voltage present and output current present
= error 54;
− output voltage present and output current absent
= correct operation;
− output voltage absent and output current present
= error 54;
− output voltage absent and output current absent
= error 10.
Error 10 indicates that at the power source start-up, or
with inverter running, the circuits for detecting the output
voltage and output current, on power board (34), detect
voltage = 0 and current = 0.
This situation is possible only with the inverter broken
(thus it does not generate the alternating voltage on the
primary circuit of the TF5 power transformer) or with one
or both voltage and current detection lines interrupted.
Perform the "open circuit operation" tests in par. 3.2.7 and
the "operation on resistive load" tests in par. 3.2.8.
