Activating the diagnosis

3. Click on the menu item "Datei, Laden" (load file).
WinDP prepares the master parameter set MPS, containing all
data needed for operation of the bus master, slaves and
PROFIBUS DP bus system and transfers it to the bus master.
The bus master is stopped during the loading process. A dialog
window appears with a prompt.
4. Confirm the prompt by clicking on "Ja" (yes) in the dialog
window to start loading.
5. Also confirm the following prompt with "Ja" (yes).
This will restart the bus master.
After the MPS is read, all of the PLC output addresses of the
slave are recognized by the bus master.
The LED UL/DIA on the valve system bus coupler should now be
lit permanently and the LED BF should be off. The LED display
on the bus master should also switch off (see bus master
manual).

7.2.8 Diagnosis with WinDP

The diagnosis under WinDP or the diagnostic display on the bus
coupler can provide you with information on potential errors:

if the UL/DIA LED on the bus coupler is not lit permanently,

one of the LED U

if a message appears in the bus master status display (see
"Reading the bus coupler diagnostic display" on page 124).
In order to receive detailed diagnostic messages from the valve
system bus coupler, the diagnosis must be activated in the bus
coupler parameter settings. Only then will the messages be
transmitted from the bus coupler to the bus master or
programming device.
